I would like to write this post in english only for testing; I can translate this if anybody needs it.
Despite english is not my native language and I can't understand three of five words when I listen it, I used to write in english IRC channels and I read too much words to be able to write in a inteligible way. I think.
This post is about a short movie made with an open-source 3D animation software. The program is called Blender but that is not the subject.
The movie is named "Elephant Dreams" and I just seen it now after download it from its web.
As I said I don't understand spoken english very well and this movie is very surrealistic but I think that after a while I understanded all the idea of the movie.
These are my conclusions about its meaning:
- The second character in the story is named Emo. And really has that emotional, pathetical, and useless personality.
- The old man is trying to guide Emo in the strange world in wich all of we are living.
- Out of this world there isn't nothing. Nada. Niente. (I needed to express this in foreign languages. ;))
- And the world appears to us like we saw it. As we perceive it. Like we think the world is.
- Sometimes a distorted vision of reality causes bad sentiments and produces monsters.
- With permission of Yoda, it could be said that after the fear follow the hate. And that is what Emo experiments in a world that he didn't understand.
- The fail of the old man is that tries to explain in what a wonderful world they are without explain previously what are the dangers of to choose a wrong path in life.
I'm gonna see it again. I hope not to forget the lesson. And, as Monty Python said, always look on the bright side of life.
Please correct my spelling or ideas. Thank you.

Aquí he encontrado unos subtítulos en spanish del cortometraje:
ResponderEliminarelephants_dream.srt
You see? I need to hear better; and to learn more english pronunciation.
ResponderEliminarAfter reading the subtitles I saw that Proog, the old man, inisted a time and another about the dangers of their world.
That changes my mind, and now I think that the wrong with this is to speak about undetermined problems that only can produce more fear in the other one.
